The Mallorca Convention Bureau (MCB) is a non-profit association whose aim is to promote Mallorca as a consolidated destination for congresses, conventions, incentives, meetings and events in general. This promotional work is supported by the local community and the public sector.

Throughout its 40-year history, the number of MCB members has increased significantly, reaching the 115 companies on the island that currently make up the MCB. This growth has been brought about by the constant specialization of the sector.

Its members range from 4 and 5 star hotels and convention centers to DMCs and PCOs and companies in the service sector. A wide range capable of satisfying the requirements of an increasingly demanding sector.

Great leap to public initiative:

The Consell de Mallorca, through the Mallorca Turisme Foundation, and Palma City Council, have joined the Mallorca Convention Bureau (MCB), the oldest congress bureau in Spain with four decades of existence and the only one that until now lacked public participation. This membership means that the Consell de Mallorca will form part of the entity's board of directors through the president of the Fundació Mallorca Turismo and island councilor for Tourism.

Functions of the Mallorca Convention Bureau :

- Free advice for congress organizers and incentive agencies in a first approach to the destination. With an experience that translates into 200 annual requests for information from event organizers:

- MCB provides all the necessary information about the association as well as about Mallorca and its infrastructures.

- MCB coordinates inspection visits to the destination.

- Drawing up an annual Marketing Plan detailing the promotional activities to be carried out throughout the year and their objectives.

- Attendance at the most important international fairs in the world as well as meetings and incentives.

- Organization of presentations/workshops in the markets of interest. These actions are carried out with the participation of MCB members and are aimed at professional conference organizers and incentive agencies as well as specialized media.

- Familiarization trips to showcase the advantages and virtues offered by the island of Mallorca in situ.

- Edition and distribution of the digital bulletins "MCB Newsletter" with news of the associates and Mallorca as a destination. These newsletters already reach more than 9,000 contacts.

- Occasional collaborations with the different Spanish tourist offices abroad to coordinate promotional activities.
